Hello Likitha!!. Nice to meet you. Yeah. So let's begin with the interview.
Hello. Yeah sure.
So let's start with the introduction so that the audience can get to know you better. So tell me about yourself.
Hello, I am Likitha, I`m 16 years old. I go to a school that is in Vizag. It`s basically math, physics, chemistry in school, apart from that, I've got a really wide range of interests. Currently. I'm interested in fantasy books and web development.
Yeah. That's really interesting. So you founded an organization called BlueReads, which is about sharing your writings, and everything. So then how did you get the idea and what gave you the inspiration to start it? So the main idea was not about letting people share their thoughts and views. It was a random day. I was just walking in a park and saw kids in the park. Like when I asked them about school, which school you go to, they preferred coming to park rather than going to a school. So I thought, yeah, people do need awareness about how school is better than a park. So that, that was the main idea. And then I started encouraging kids to start writing. Then that slowly came into Blue Reads. So until today, we encouraged over four kids. Yeah. We're trying to reach out to NGOs. Like it has been a week, I found blue reads, so we're still working on it. Well, good luck with that. So when did you discover your passion for writing and reading? It was three years ago, I guess, if I'm not wrong. Yeah, it started with an Instagram page where I wrote a one minute short stories in a series kind of thing. Yeah. It began from there. Nice. So you're also interested in web developing. How did you develop an interest in that and what inspired you to start developing? I come from a really technological background. Like my mom and dad, my parents are involved in tech too. So I have always had an interest in web development, like using computers and technology and yeah, this caught my eye.
So what are your plans for the future? Like what do you want to be when you grow up?
I'm currently preparing for JEE so I think I'll get into a university later.
Yeah, it is really interesting .so how do you handle the JEE pressure , academics and your extracurricular, how do you balance everything ?
That is a little difficult at times, but then there's constant support from my parents and friends. So they make things really easier.
Yeah. It's really nice. Having people support you in everything you do. So if you weren't interested in web development, what would you be doing?
It should be arts. I draw and paint. Yeah. So maybe I become an artist someday, but that's the wildest start I can ever have. I don't know.
Yeah. So you must be really interested in reading. So how did you start reading? What inspired you to read everything ?
I remember my dad and mom, like reading everyday since I was in first grade. Yeah. I probably remember they highlighted the text using a highlighter, that was something that caught my eye. So they highlighted and color and stuff. That`s why I started reading. Honestly, I wanted to highlight things and later it began. Yeah.
Yeah. So do you have favorite genre or a favorite writer ?
Favorite writer? Right. I think you must have read about power of your subconscious mind. You should really try that book. Life changing. So yeah, Joseph Murphy is my favorite author. Apart from that I do read fiction and all. I am recently into the fiction genres lately.
Oh, interesting. So who inspires you in life? Like who is your biggest inspiration?
I seek inspiration from every LinkedIn profile I see. That's really funny. But my first inspiration was my dad, like its the same with everybody, right? You don't get to see anybody except your parents when you are kids. So my first inspiration are my parents and later on, I started to seek inspiration from everywhere. You know, I seek inspiration from a random hoarding on the road.
That's really nice. So what's the biggest motto in life? Like what do you live by?
I live by "work for your satisfaction". That really keeps you going on.
So what's the most valuable thing you have ever read?
Okay. It's again, from the same book, it is like, whatever you think to happen, it will happen. Like there's really some power in your subconscious mind. I recommend it to everybody who`s watching.
Yeah, sure .So about your website. So do you like accept content from everybody? Or do you have any specific criterion for accepting content?
No. anybody who writes, anybody who wants to get promoted.
That's nice. So do you think sharing would promote anything or will it help the writer?
Yeah, it, it is going to help the writer and our school. It's not about that. The basic idea is that you encourage people, right? So it's not about adults. Like we don't target adults, our target audiences are small kids who don't really go to school. So yeah. We've been trying to contact NGOs lately. I hope that works out. It has been one day. Yeah.
So t how would you inspire children, especially if they're not interested in writing or anything ?
Oh, that's actually the good part about that. We just go there and we talk to kids for like 40 to 50 minutes where we believe we meet. We say them, you know, like when you write, these things happen, you try to think more and more, then you kind of imagine things. So this is what happens. Yeah. We try our best to encourage. Yeah, kids right, they're really lovely. You know, they really believe what you say.
That's really something great about children , they literally believe everything . So what's your favorite part about working in an NGO and helping people?
It's just inspiring because you know, they're going to be the next generation. So you got to do something for them.
That's a really great initiative . When they grow up the kids will definitely be inspired to do something.
Yeah. Let's hope.
Yeah. So have you worked on any other projects or do you have any upcoming projects? Tell us about it.
Coming up, it's still in the idea stage, so I don`t want to mention it right now. I think, yeah, there have been a few internships I have been working on and I am having a great experience.
So could you please describe yourself in three words,
Three words, The trickiest part of every interview.
Yeah. I agree.
I would say dreamer. Yeah. Two more hard to think. Maybe the one`s who are seeing me should say this.
Yeah. You seem very intuitive and smart.
Thank you. You know, the next time somebody asks me to describe myself, I'm going to tell this.
Sure.. So since you are a dreamer, which book would you like to live in? Like a book or series or a fictional world that you would like to live in?
In our childhood everyone used to like Harry Potter. So I am into Harry Potter myself so Yeah.
If you could tell your past self one thing, what would it be? Any advice you would give to your past self?
I have had, you know, self-doubting issues like every time I wanted to do something, I would say oh, what if I cant do it? to myself. I wish I didn't do that.
Yeah. That's really definitely makes sense.
Yeah. Something everybody does maybe.
Yeah, we all do. So how would you, how do you develop your writing skills? Like you started writing and how did you get better at it ?
Oh I wasn't actually like really into writing. But once we had a school essay competition and I won and yeah, it was about water conservation, I guess. How would you conserve water in a really creative way. I don't remember what I wrote, but yeah. I won that and then it inspired me to write more. I wanted to win more things and more things. Yeah.
So, so for your website and everything. Do you have like have a team of people? Or is just yourself ?
There are people helping me out .
Yeah, exactly. How would you describe the people who help you out ?
Helpful .You know, the thing is that they come up with really great ideas I've never had, and then we together make the idea. Yeah.
So I guess that's just conclude this interview. So what upcoming advice would you give to people who would like want to become like something in their life or people want to start their own organization?
Oh, never doubt yourself. You can do it.
Yeah. Exactly . So it is great having you Likitha.
Thank you for having me here .
It is really pleasure talking to you , it is really fun.
It was?
Yes . Hope you have good upcoming projects and hope you don't doubt yourself.
Thank you. Yeah I should stop doing that at least now .
Thank you.
Yes. Thank you. Bye.
