United for Jammu and Kashmir! Interview United Beyond Border's Founder

Hello Inspirators and welcome back to another interview. Today, we are joined by the wonderful organization United Beyond Borders. Its origins derive from a virtual blog that pertains to sharing information regarding Jammu and Kashmir. With the meaning to connect the world to these places despite media perceptions, United beyond borders is a One-person passion project! INSPIWIRE got the privilege to sit down with the founder for an exclusive interview and to educate us about these underrepresented regions.

Can you tell what your organization about and the process

This is actually a passion project from the school I go to and I wanted to tackle a more specific issue in contrast to general problems My heritage also ties in my interest and passion for this.

How does your personality influence your perspective on this organization.

I think for staters i am quite introverted as a result of the pandemic so staring the website wasn't an issue, but starting instagram was really hard for me. When I did have one, I did question would I get enough recognition? However through the project I learned to being more open and confident in myself

I'm hoping to unite this region despite border conflicts through conversation and action. I believe we can truly create an environment that is United Beyond Borders.

What aspects do you want to share

I want to express the beauty of Jammu and Kashmir by showing the culture. I find with Western media it often portrays these places without nuance and only gives them the identity of a war torn country.

Alright final question, what is your overall goal, do you have any plans for expansion?

I do have plans to expand to different facets of engagement, I do plan to partake, however for now, I want to focus my energy on the website and go from there.
